- Started a hostel in Rajwada.
- Began operations outside Sangli.
- Conducted numerous camps for women and children across Maharashtra.
- Established a branch in Goa.
- Launched the National Adult Education Programme.
- Initiated the National Creche Programme (Zoolaghar).
- Conducted Janasahabhag (public participation) camps in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, and Gujarat.
- Awarded 2nd prize in Adult Education.
- Established 286 Zoolaghars and a central kitchen.
- Opened Asia’s first NGO HIV rehabilitation center at Yashwantnagar.
- Began carpet manufacturing at Yashwantnagar and received 1st prize for the carpets produced.
- Dr. Kusumtai Ghanekar presented a paper on women and child education in rural India at a conference in Trinidad.
- Started Family Counseling Centers and Working Women’s Hostels in Sangli and Nagpur.
- Established a Balgruha for the daughters of Devdasis in Jath.
- Opened Balsadan, a facility for special girls, at Yashwantnagar.
- Launched another Balgruha at Yashwantnagar.
- Opened the Swadhar Gruha at Yashwantnagar.
- Started a Vocational Training Centre.
